Scrah Mountain Duo: The Living Earth

Join the Scrag Mountain Duo, soprano Mary Bonhag and double bassist Evan Premo, in The Living Earth, a program prepared especially for our outdoor 2021 Nature & Music Summer Festival. This innovative duo reimagines the classical concert experience for the 21st century, bringing vitality and passion to its performances of new music.
The program is comprised of music inspired by nature, including several original works by Premo, that evoke the beauty and grandeur of Earth. Audience members will experience a "Duet with Lake George" come to life in real time as the composer, using a loop pedal on his string bass, will improvise on and transform the natural sounds of the lake environment into a new composition.
