Sopranos Suna Gunther and Sylvia Stoner, along with pianist Michael Clement, present a delightful afternoon of song inspired by nature. Madame Sembrich was herself enthralled by the splendor of nature, which certainly influenced her collection, My Favorite Folk Songs, four of which will be performed in our lakeside setting.
Ms. Gunther and Ms. Stoner will also perform songs by renowned composer Aaron Copland and living composer Lori Laitman using texts by the American poet Emily Dickinson who was frequently inspired by nature. Songs by Lili Boulanger and Richard Strauss will also be featured in this enchanting presentation.
